CLUB DES COMBINS
SOLIDARITY
PRESENTATION
An increasing number of clients hire mountain guides to take them
off-piste or on ski-tours in the safest possible conditions.
In the mountains however, perhaps more than anywhere else, there is not such thing
as a zero risk. An accident can always happen, despite all safety measures taken by the professionals. The guides themselves carry the greatest risk; a simple accident
can cause a partial or total work incapacity.
COMITE & STATUTS
A CLUB BASED ON SOLIDARITY BETWEEN CLIENTS AND GUIDE
Beyond the fundamental compact between client and guide, many clients wish to express their solidarity with those guides and who may suddenly face adversity. By joining the Club des Combins, members enable guides to obtain a group life insurance policy covering death risk or a policy covering a temporary or long term professional incapacity, whether partial or total.

The Club also aims to provide a convivial meeting point for guides and their clients.
A SAFETY FUND
To ensure the continuity of the Club and to maintain payment of solidarity contributions, regardless of insurance market conditions, the Club has established a safety fund, established by the Founding Members and managed by a specialist committee.
THE CLUB'S AIMS
The Club des Combins is a not for profit making association with the following aims:

-
To ensure the subscription of a group life insurance policy for the benefit of the guides who are members of the Club.
-
To promote social interaction between the guides and their clients and between the clients themselves.
-
To guarantee the continuity of subscriptions to the Club by the creation of a safety fund established by the founding members.
-
To provide, upon decision of the committee, some selective financial assistance to the guides’ families (e.g. the granting of study scholarships).
-
The Club’s financial sustainability is ensured by the membership fees and by donations from third parties. We distinguish between founding members and members.
